When he retaliated he was punished for his aggression. When
he rebuked he was chastised for making noise. When he stopped caring he was shunned
for his dispassion. The human mind isn’t equipped to endure a lifetime of
grief. In a hard life they say that suicide is the easy way out as though that’s
a bad thing. Life’s too hard to ignore the easy way for once.
